Kenneth D. Schmidt

Dr. Schmidt is a member of the Board of Managers, and has been a Trustee of the University of Illinois since 1999. He is a Senior Attending Physician in the Department of Medical Imaging and Section Director in Nuclear Medicine at Holy Family Medical Center in Des Plaines, Illinois. His specialties include diagnostic radiology and nuclear medicine. Dr. Schmidt also serves as president of the Illinois Medical District Commission at Chicago Technology Park. Dr. Schmidt served as Chairman of the Clinical Council at Rush System for Health from 1997 to 1999. He also served as Vice President of Medical Affairs at Holy Family Medical Center from 1992 to 1998; President of the Medical / Dental staff from 1986 to 1987, and Planning Committee member of the Medical / Dental staff at Holy Family from 1976 to 1985. He was the Medical Advisor of Illinois Local Board 14 of the Illinois Selective Service Commission from 1970 to 1972. Dr. Schmidt was an instructor in the Department of Radiology at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine from 1971 to 1973. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine. He is a life member of the University of Illinois Alumni Association.
