Fresh Faces at Apervita

Illinois Ventures Portfolio Company added two new C-Suite executives in November.

On November 11, Rick Howard joined the company as the Chief Product Officer. Mr. Howard will oversee product vision, innovation, design, and delivery of Apervita’s digital platform, which enables digital quality measurement, clinical intelligence, as well as value-based contract monitoring and performance measurement. His mission is to lead the development and execution of a product strategy built on the interoperable near-frictionless flow of data and knowledge between payers, providers, and other stakeholders with the ultimate goal of enabling the Learning Health System.

Mr. Howard’s experience spans many health IT initiatives, from EHR integrations and ICD-10 adoptions for large health systems to developing analytics systems to help reduce post-operative infections. Prior to Apervita, he held several executive posts that focus on supporting high-growth healthcare organizations through product, data and technological innovation.

On November 30, David Yakimischak joined Apervita as Chief Technology Officer. Mr. Yakimischak will oversee the development and execution teams of Apervita’s products, including technology development, operations (DevOps), engineering and quality assurance. He also will lead the effort to scale the company’s digital platform, which enables digital quality measurement, clinical intelligence, value-based contract monitoring and provider performance measurement.

Most recently, Mr. Yakimischak served as CTO at ConnectiveRx, which provides tech-enabled commercialization services to leading pharmaceutical manufacturers to help patients get on and stay on prescribed medications.
