Illinois Ventures Invests in Network Perception Seed Round

Illinois Ventures invested in Network Perception’s $2.73M seed round. Founded in 2014 by Robin Berthier, CEO and co-founder, Network Perception supplies critical infrastructure industries with a pioneering risk visualization technology empowering their cybersecurity and compliance teams. Berthier was a postdoc student and later a Research Scientist at UIUC.

Built by a team of researchers along with other experts in network security and critical infrastructure protection, this technology allows for a holistic view of network compliance and security. The result is organizations having the ability to make informed determinations of configuration alignment as well as ensure best practices and regulatory standards are met.

“My colleagues and I at Illinois Ventures have been following Network Perception’s progress for some time and we’ve been very impressed by the success they’ve had in the energy sector,” noted Illinois Ventures Senior Director, Tom Parkinson. “We’re delighted to be on board to help Robin and his team take the business to the next level.”

The round was led by Serra Ventures, Okapi Ventures, and Energy Foundry, with additional participation from Early Light Ventures, SaaS Ventures,  and Service Provider Capital.
