2020 Fellows

Illinois Ventures Welcomes Fall 2020 Fellows

University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign students Aman Gulrajani, and Andrew Dyke, and Mason Kaiser joined the Illinois Ventures team as Fall 2020 Fellows. The Fellows Program provides UIUC students with the opportunity to learn about venture capital, entrepreneurship, and university technologies.

One of the most enjoyable parts of being at Illinois Ventures is working with the Fellows,” noted program lead, Daniel Gambrell. “We have been privileged each year to have amazing students engage with us to gain hands-on VC experience. Each brings an invaluably unique perspective and background. I am constantly learning from them.”

Aman Gulrajani returned for the fall semester after his Summer 2020 Illinois Ventures Fellowship. Aman studies accounting and finance. This summer, Aman is looking forward to learning about all the new and exciting industries that Illinois Ventures is currently operating in while also fine-tuning his own skills. He believes Illinois Ventures has a wide exposure and a strong connection with the entrepreneurial spirit at the University of Illinois and he is grateful that he can learn from them. In hopes of starting his own company one day, Aman is excited that the Fellowship is providing him with a great learning experience as to what makes a successful company.

On campus, Aman is involved with Illinois Consulting Academy, Illinois Business Consulting, Illini Awaaz A Capella and Illini Baseball Analytics. In his free time, he enjoys reading, traveling, playing the flute and watching baseball.

Andrew Dyke is currently working towards his Master’s of Science in Finance degree here at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is most excited to learn how Illinois Ventures works with innovative companies to propel society into a new and improved era. He is also looking forward to building on his corporate finance skills and truly understanding key factors that indicate companies will be successful well into the future. He is eager to apply his years of corporate finance training to venture capital while benefiting his networking and analytical skills.

Andrew received his Bachelor’s of Science in Finance from UIUC in December of 2019. He was a member of the University's Baseball Team for his four years during his undergraduate studies.

Mason Kaiser studies finance and excited to learn about the cutting-edge companies that are coming out of the University of Illinois entrepreneurial ecosystem. He is looking forward to learning more about what it is like to work in venture capital on a day to day basis and hopes to learn more about Illinois Ventures' investment philosophy and what makes a good startup investment.

On campus, Mason is involved with Venture Capital Association, Gies Scholars, Campus Honors, and Ski and Snowboard Club.
